Millie Bobby Brown attends Netflix's "Stranger Things" season 4 premiere at Netflix Brooklyn on May 14, 2022 in Brooklyn, New York. The Stranger Things creators have responded to Millie Bobby Brown’s criticism of the show not killing off enough main characters. Brown , who plays Eleven, told TheWrap in a joint interview with co-star Noah Schnapp, “We’re all afraid of one of us dying. It’s way too big. Last night, we couldn’t even take one group picture because there were like 50 of us. I was like, ‘You need to start killing people off.’” Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, added, “You just have to have one massacre scene where half the cast dies.” Millie, 18, continued to call the writers out. “The Duffer brothers are two Sensitive Sallies that don’t want to kill anyone off,” the British actress said. “We need to be Game of Thrones. We need to have the mindset of Game of Thrones.” She then demanded that the creators “kill me off,” adding, “They tried killing David [Harbour] (who plays Hopper) off and they brought him back. It’s ridiculous.” When the comments were mentioned in a new interview with the Duffer brothers, Matt Duffer defeatedly replied, “We heard,” adding, “What did Millie call us? She said we were ‘Sensitive Sallies.’ She’s hilarious. Believe us, we’ve explored all options in the writing room. Just as a complete hypothetical, if you kill Mike [Finn Wolfhard], it’s like… that’s depressing… we aren’t Game of Thrones. This is Hawkins, it’s not Westeros.” Duffer used the character of Barb (Shannon Purser) as an example, saying, “So even when Barb dies, there’s two seasons worth of grappling with that, so imagine – is that something we’re interested in exploring or not interested in exploring?” He acknowledged that more deaths are “on the table” as “we’re headed towards the end,” adding, “This is me basically defending myself against these Millie Bobby Brown accusations and explaining that there are lives behind it, and it’s nothing to do with my sensitivity. So there you go Millie.” Stranger Things season 4 is currently streaming on Netflix. The final season is expected to be released in 2024. 'Stranger Things' Season 4 Part 1: Fans React

Millie Bobby Brown has been acting for years. Her role as Eleven on "Stranger Things" has made her a household name and some serious cash. or $2.8 million for all eight episodes of the third Warning: Spoilers for Season 4, Volume 2 of Stranger Things follow. If you don’t want it spoiled, stop right Campbell Bower was such a convincing villain in his Vecna suit — which took seven hours to put on in the makeup chair — that he actually made Millie Bobby Brown cry real tears of fright while filming one of the scenes in Season 4 of Stranger spilled the details in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, and it’s pretty juicy. But first, if you need a quick refresher on Bower’s character, he actually has three different roles — and we learned about another, fourth role that Vecna has secretly been playing the whole time in the last of all, he plays Vecna: the slimy, nasty villain who breaks people’s limbs and gouges their eyes out. Vecna who was banished to the Upside Down when Eleven attempted to kill him after he massacred all of Dr. Brenner’s (Matthew Modine) other test subjects at Hawkins Lab. And that brings us to Bower’s other character — 001, Dr. Brenner’s very first human lab rat. But before he was 001 or Vecna, he was Henry Creel, the spider-loving little boy who caused his father, Victor Creel, to go to prison for the murder of Henry’s mother and sister. Of course, it was really Henry who did those murders, and he continued that signature killing style as Bower’s secret fourth role is more of a figurative one than a literal one. We learned in the final episode that Vecna has been controlling the Mind Flayer since Season 1, and that every time Will Byers feels that slithery, Voldemort-style feeling on the back of his neck that lets him know what the Mind Flayer is up to, he’s really hearing the dastardly thoughts of Vecna. To be clear, Bower just joined the cast in Season 4, so the revelation that Vecna was really the Mind Flayer the whole time just puts everything in Now that that’s all covered, on to the juicy part — Bower’s terrifying effect on his scene partner, Millie Bobby Brown.“The stuff at the Snow Ball is at Hawkins, at the high school. And then the stuff in the Mind Lair was on set in Atlanta. The reaction that you see from Millie in episode nine when she’s strung up, that’s genuine and honest,” he told The Hollywood Read: Down With the King Is for Everyone Who Loves Film, Hip-Hop and the Great OutdoorsYou know, the part where Eleven is crying and trying to get out of Vecna’s tentacle clutches in the last episode of Season 4? Yeah, Bower says Brown was crying real tears during that scene.“She was terrified and freaked out. And Caleb [Heymann], our DP, was very smart and saw that she was having this reaction in the beginning of rehearsal and decided to shoot her first. It’s so pure and beautiful,” Bower said.“It was lovely to have this battle, this epic battle as it were, but it’s drawn out. It’s so much more elongated than it is in the Volume 1 finale. There is this back and forth of power-sharing. And each actor has their own way of being their own character.”The Season 4 finale left off with Vecna wounded but not dead; Eleven reunited with Hopper; Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) dead; Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) in a coma; Hawkins mostly destroyed, and particles from the Upside Down snowing all over the town, setting up what the gang will be up against next season when they presumably try to kill Vecna once and for all. But we’ll have to wait until the fifth and final season comes out to find out how this story truly 1 and 2 of Season 4 of Stranger Things are now streaming on Image: Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna in Stranger Things, courtesy of Netflix. Millie Bobby Brown is ready to say “Thank you and goodbye” to Stranger Things. Eleven’s actress equates the last season of the show to senior year and is enthused to graduate to new projects
Millie Bobby Brown had a highly amusing reaction to learning that many German Stranger Things fans hate the character of played by Finn Wolfhard, is one of the core characters in the hit Netflix series, and serves as the love interest of Eleven (Brown). It’s clear, however, that his role in the series has been somewhat an appearance at a fan Q&A panel held as part of German Comic Con, Brown was shocked to discover a contingent of Mike-haters in the one fan quizzed her about the up-and-down relationship between her character and Mike in season four, she replied: “I mean, do you like him?”When the audience member responded in the negative, she said: “What?! You don’t like Mike? In Germany, you guys don’t like Mike?”The crowd then seemed to largely reply: “No”.“In America, people love Mike,” Brown said. “Can somebody tell me why they don’t like Mike? What’s wrong with him? He’s not a good boyfriend? Is that it?”Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in ‘Stranger Things' (Courtesy of Netflix)One audience member claimed that the character had been a bad friend. “Oh, he’s not a good friend?” Brown responded. “Oh that’s why, OK. She's responding to my skepticism of an 18-year-old having a skincare line. With the market inundated with celebrity beauty lines, when a new brand comes on to the scene, one has to wonder, why?Florence by Mills will be three years old this August, and Brown has no intentions of stopping this growing empire. Between acting, running a beauty brand, and being a teenager, she sits down to talk skincare, social media, and Stranger is expanding Florence by Mills with an acne-fighting ‘Clear the Way’ collection consisting of a clarifying face wash and mud mask to help deep cleanse your skin. Like many teenagers with fluctuating hormones, acne is an issue. Attending red carpet events, she’d wonder why she was facing pimples. “I’m definitely a victim of my skin,” Brown admits, reflecting on troublesome acne that inadvertently accompanies her during some of her most prominent (and public) moments. Skincare has been a journey for the British teen. She explains, “I would go to the red carpets and come out wondering, ‘Why did this pimple suddenly appear?’ and ‘Why is my skin not liking this foundation that these people are putting on me?’” Relationship with your skin is personal and a journey in knowing what your skin likes and needs (and what it doesn’t). Brown has learned you can’t hide your skin—“I have wanted to put more makeup to cover it, but you have to embrace it and listen to your skin,” she clarifying face wash contains one of the current buzz words in beauty: niacinamide—to help control oil. It also has salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acids to help minimize pores while smoothing fine lines and texture. The Clarifying Mud Mask focuses on unclogging and minimizing pores with charcoal and salicylic acid to extract all the impurities. It shows in her products as Brown is conscious of making them “clean” and cruelty-free sans ingredients like silicone and SLS/SLES. However, for Brown, it’s just not what’s in the products but also how they make you feel. She has a laissez fare approach to beauty and believes it’s up to each individual to the age of filters, allowing people to tote invisible pores and the smoothest of skins, I probe Brown about how social media affects her. She brushes me off quickly, stating, “I try to stay off social media as much as The call suddenly feels heavy. We don’t directly address the elephant hovering over us, but you can feel it. Brown has faced weird negativity from the Internet that isn’t the same as her co-stars or other actors her age. Whether it’s backlash for texts between her and Drake or criticism for her clothing, one can peruse the headlines and see them littered with an odd cynicism. Which is a strange thing indeed, given she is literally a child. In 2018, she took a public break from social media and, in a Beyoncé-esque fashion, closed off the world to her personal life and vowed that her accounts would only be used to promote her work. 18 is a transitional period for many. I cringe in horror to think her followers could feel free to comment. “I think what people forget [is] that because my job is in the public eye, that doesn’t mean everything needs to be in the public eye. It’s about me going through things personally and wanting to keep it personal,” she reveals, almost slightly irritated as to why she has to explain herself. I agree with her, admitting I haven’t posted in about three months. She relaxes a bit—“Sometimes I need a mental break from it. It’s a very strenuous relationship with social media—sometimes it’s great, sometimes it isn’t. I aim to make it a happy, positive place that people can go to be As she talks about how she wants the Internet to work, it’s obvious she’s creating a space that may not currently exist in her she’s not building her beauty empire or fighting online bullies, she’s focused on her first job—acting. At the time of our conversation, she’s in the car, leaving the set of Damsel, the new Netflix fantasy feature she’s starring in and executive producing. However, with a new season of Stranger Things out for binge-watching, Brown applauds her castmates, whom she has grown up with over the past four seasons. As she dishes about what goes on behind the scenes, she reveals a fun fact: “All of [us] are incredible The Duffer Brothers have announced that Season 5 will come out in 2024 and culminate the Stranger Things series.
